E-merging Forum for teachers from the British Council

The British Council is happy to announce the E-merging Forum 5, which will be held on March 12-14, 2015 in Moscow, Russia. E-merging Forum — is one of the biggest international events for teachers of English.

The Forum will feature talks by the leading UK and Russian experts, discussions and sharing of experience in the following content areas: assessment; young learners in which will be covered complex issues around teaching English at primary level and very young learners (age 4 to 11); learning technologies in which will be affected such issues as using learning technologies in the classrooms at all levels; English for specific purposes and English for academic purposes are devoted to teaching at tertiary level, particularly teaching for special purposes including academic English; language issues (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation).

Intensive programme will provide speeches of the internationally recognised experts in the field of English language, including Herbert Puchta who is a co-author of a few extremely successful course books for children published by Cambridge University Press, including Playway and English in Mind, Jane Allemano who has worked in ELT for over 30 years as a teacher, materials writer and consultant for Cambridge English, Svetlana Ter-Minasova — PhD, professor, President of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Area Studies and Professor Emeritus at Moscow State University and also Vera Zabotkina — PhD, professor, Vice-Rector for Innovative International projects, Director of the Centre for Cognitive Programs and Technologies, and Professor of English at the Department of Translation Studies, Interpreting and Translation at the Russian State University for the Humanities and others.

During the forum you will also be able to visit the exhibition of the leading UK publishing houses, network with colleagues from different countries and attend interesting evening programme. Registration fee: • 3 days at discounted rate (available till February 24) – 500 roubles • One day attendance (available till February 24) – 300 roubles • Last minute registration (payment made at the Forum) – 1000 roubles To register as participant please complete online registration form and pay the registration fee till February 24.To apply as a speaker, please, complete the online registration form till February 2.
