The agreement is subject to an inspection visit to French meat plants by Russian authorities.
France will resume exports of offal, cattle fat and meat based feed to Russia following an agreement with Russian authorities.

The French meat union SNIV-SNCP said in a statement that talks will be held between the French and Russian health authorities to arrange an inspection of French meat plants by Russian veterinary experts. The implementation of the agreement, also signed by Denmark, the Netherlands and Italy, will be subject to the outcome of the inspections.

The cattle products which are part of the agreement have been embargoed since October by Russia because of fraud.

SNIV-SNCP said pork fat exports were also up for discussion during agreement talks, however an export health certificate for pig meat to Russia cannot be part of an agreement and must be approved by the European Commission.
